I wanted to give a shot at drawing Dante, the dog from the upcoming Pixar movie, Coco
It's a very interesting choice for a dog character, Dante is a Xoloitzcuintle ("Xolo" for short), which is a hairless dog that originated in Mexico, and with the exception of a bunch of unknown Mexican films, I've never really seen one as a character in an animated movie before.
In Mexica mythology, xoloitzcuintles act as guides to lost souls to find their way to Mictlán, the Land of the Dead, so if you die, you'll surely want one as a companion. I don't know if that piece of information will be referenced in the movie, or if the creative team even had it in mind, but it surely makes the story setting much more fascinating
Oh and just in case you're wondering, Xoloitzcuintle is pronounced like "Sho-lo-its-queen-tleh"
